Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was from a styled shoot taken in Majorca 2018, I am a self taught photographer and had no idea it would even feature in the Top 10% of a competition let alone win! Whilst this was a styled shoot, this a real couple, Jack Poticorn and Quigley Goode who are huge US instagram/social influencers. They were so natural and absolutely wonderful to shoot.

Time

We worked with them all day, in a variety of settings, this was around 11am

Beautiful, late summer, morning light

This was shot on a Canon 5D and either a 24-70 mm or 70-200 USM II which are my 'go to' lenses

I don't enjoy post processing so do very little to my images, occasionally using a preset - this was LXC.

In my camera bag

Firstly my bag itself is awesome - a House of Flynn Evermore - I am always getting stopped and asked about it. I can fit 2 bodies and 3 lenses or 1 + 4

Feedback

This is the first styled shoot I have ever paid and signed up for, I made friends who I'm still in touch with, I worked with some awesome photographers who shared hints and tips and to top it all, I won this competition - the first thing I have ever won in my life and I'm fifty in justr a couple of months! Given I didn't pick up a camera until I was 45 and my passion is wildlife photography, it just shows its never too late to try something new.
